Heppu tuolla vispaa jo käsillään sängyssä ja kertoo lypsävänsä unilehmää. Haluan kuitenkin ennen lakanoiden väliin pujahtamista jakaa kanssanne juuri Ilta-Sanomien nettilehdestä lukemani tarinan Emily-kissasta.

CNN kertoo Emilyn karanneen kotoaan Appletonista syyskuun lopulla. Emilyn kaulassa olevan tunnuslevyn ansiosta työntekijät tavoittivat Emilyn perheen.

Christèle Gozillon, a spokeswoman for Raflatac, said: “We received a container from Wisconsin full of bales of adhesive paper. We heard a cat miaowing. It was a real surprise. We opened the container gently and a little, very frightened, cat ran and hid in the lorry engine. We saw that it had a name and an address so we contacted the veterinary services and they got in touch with the owners. She has become the company mascot. We call her Raflacat.”

Emilyn tarina levisi ympäri maailman - huomasin Googlestakin. Continental Airlines päätti lisätä vielä hieman mausteita tarinaan ja tarjoutui lennättämään kissan ilmaiseksi takaisin kotiinsa, bisnesluokassa. Ilta-Sanomien mukaan lento olisi maksanut runsaat 5000 euroa. Emily lensi saattajineen Pariisista New Jerseyn Newarkiin ja sieltä kotiin Milwaukeehen. Kissalle tarjoiltiin lohifileitä ja ranskalaista kissanruokaa.
